My girlfriend and I are planning on traveling to Philadelphia for our anniversary and I would love to plan something spectacular. I have looked at Lowes, Ritz, and the Four Seasons. Any suggestions or preferences? Also, any suggestions on restaurants? Thanks

For something less formal but still romantic, check out the Melting Pot (I posted a review that hasn%26#39;t gone up yet). There is always Le Bec Fin for over the top, and Morimotos if you go for the big names.
Skip the Loews, the rooms are very basic. The Four Seasons especially if you plan to hit the museums. Haven%26#39;t stayed at the Ritz myself.
If you want to go top end, check out the Rittenhouse hotel.

Stay at the Four Seasons and eat in their resturant.
I agree with RoxyL. Stay at the Four Seasons and eat there. The Fountain Restaurant has become pretty famous. Le Bec Fin%26#39;s owner has come under fire for refusing to remove Foie Gras from the menu, and has NOT been very respectful about it, so my suggestion is to avoid Le Bec Fin.
Thanks everyone! I appreciate all of the suggestions
Another vote for the Four Seasons and their Fountain Restaurant - the best Philly has to offer, in my opinion.

Because I%26#39;m partial to the architecture, I prefer the historic Bellevue (Park Hyatt now?) to the boxy Four Seasons. The Palm and Zanzibar Blue are there too.
Definitely do the Four Seasons. Great Spa too...
I think the architecture is great at the Park Hyatt Bellevue but their service just isn%26#39;t the same as the blow-me-away mindset of the Four Seasons. And the Fountain Room is really a stunning, romantic atmosphere with incredible food. Of course, all of this comes at a price!

I concur with all of the above, incl the Fountain. The only reason I still recommend LeBecFin is because for people outside of Philly, it still maintains a wow factor (e.g. when she gets home and says %26#39;and he took me to Le Bec Fin, people go %26#39;oooooh, wow! :) )
Another vote for the Four Seasons and The Fountain Room! Moms
