We are staying at Wyndham which is a few miles from the battlefield area and the shopping part of Gettysburg. When we want to park and walk around to the shops and restaurants are there any parking lots, or are they just side streets with parking meters? We will be there next week. Thank-you.
Where to Park in Gettysburg?
There are free parking lots at the visitor%26#39;s center and several areas along Baltimore St. and Steinwehr Ave. There are meters around the square and a block or two out. There is a parking garage a block north of the square.
Where to Park in Gettysburg?
I would recommend the parking complex behind The Gettysburg Hotel and the Majestic Theatre that Imalocal referred to. Otherwise you might find yourself running back to your car to reload your meter, which you%26#39;ll need to do as they ticket here frequently. The Wyndham is a great hotel by the way. Good choice.
If you park near the Square it is a long walk to the Stienwehr St. Area. I park next to the Travelodge in the Gettysburg Villages parking lot. If that is full try parking behind the Hall of Presidents it is the cemetary annex parking lot.
