1/2 day Philadelphia visit

I plan on visiting with my wifef or just a few (4 to 6) hours on Friday 8/24. Have never been to Philadelphia. Will probably arrive somewhee around noon and would like to see some of the ';must see'; attractions. Of course, have to see the liberty bell. What else would you recommend for a short tour? Thanks

1/2 day Philadelphia visit

Philly is a major city with quite a variety of attractions. The ';must-sees'; really depend on your interests. Since you already plan to visit the Liberty Bell and have only a few hours you probably want to stay in and around Independence National Historical Park. I suggest you go to ushistory.org and look at the self-guided walking tours presented there.

1/2 day Philadelphia visit

When my wife and I visited my brother-in-law in Philadelphia last year, we were able to see the major sites in the central historic district pretty quickly. Reading Terminal Market is a bit of a walk one way and Penn%26#39;s Landing the other. Of course, the museum is another story.
