Glide tours

Has anyone ever taken the 2 1/2 hour tour of Philadelphia offered by I Glide? The tour is taken on a two-wheeled, self-balancing, electrically powered scooter. Places visted are The Philly Museum of Art, Boathouse Row and Fairmont Water Works. It sounds like so much fun. I was wondering if anyone has any comments/advice.

Thanks.

I%26#39;ve seen them rolling around on their Segways. They look kind of geeky. You can walk the tour just as easily, as it%26#39;s a grand total of about 3 blocks.- it%26#39;s really for those who want to ride on a Segway. Don%26#39;t know about the content of their talk.

We did this tour while in Philadelphia in July.

It was a blast! My kids had a great time and for them it was the highlight of our visit to Philly.

They start you off with a 30 minute lesson on how to ride the segways. They can take a little getting used to. I took a tumble off mine almost immedately.

My only complaint would be that my feet got very hot and tired standing on the segway for 2-2 1/2 hours. This may have been avoided by a different chioce in footwear, I%26#39;d recommend sneakers.

It%26#39;s a fun way to see some of the sights around the Art Museum. The guides are fun, friendly and helpful.

A couple others besides my self fell off their segways, and the guides were right there to offer first-aid if needed. I might add no one was seriously hurt in their spills.

At the end the tour they let you have some free play time in front of the Art Museuum which really was the best part of the tour.

All in all everyone had a good time.
