Hotwire hotels??

Hi. I posted earlier in the week and got some great advice so thank you. Anyway, I%26#39;ve just about to book on Hotwire and wanted some advice. I can get a 4 * in Penn%26#39;s Landing for $135 or a 2 1/2* for $88. I think that the 4* would be the Hyatt and the 2 1/2* would either be the Holiday Inn Express or the Comfort Inn. Any opinions on my better bet? we%26#39;re only staying for 1 night. I have to say the spoiled part of me would love 4* but the commom sense is telling me to just book the other. The all have pretty decent reviews-just thought someone might have some insight into location. It%26#39;ll be me and my hubby and 3 kids-12, 9, and 6 if that helps. Thanks:)

Hotwire hotels??

Our expert on hotels, Suzanne McCarthy, has frequently advised TA users not to book something less than 3 stars. Two adults not being happy with their hotel is bad enough, but when the space doesn%26#39;t work well for kids the problem is infinitely worse.

Specifics - the Hyatt is an excellent property at a great location. The Comfort in has a poor location and the Holiday Inn Express location is okay.

Hotwire hotels??

Just to clarify, Suzanne%26#39;s 3 star rule applies to Priceline and Hotwire where it%26#39;s a blind purchase.

Lynn

Thanks, Lynn, for clarifying while I am away and not on the computer as much as I would like to be!

I%26#39;d go with the Hyatt. I think it is worth it for the extra $$. What is the location for the 2 1/2 star - is it Center City East (Holiday Inn Express) or Penn%26#39;s Landing (Comfort Inn?) I%26#39;ve never personally stayed at either property (HI Express or Comfort Inn), but I know the Hyatt is worth the money in terms of comfort and location. The Hyatt is located across Columbus Blvd, but there is a light to cross right at the hotel and then you are in Society Hill. Just my opinion, though...hope that helps.

Suzanne

Also, the Hyatt has a nice indoor pool, great for the kids!

Thanks!! I%26#39;m off to book it. I%26#39;ll let you know how it went. I appreciate the help!
