I assume you are flying into the airport, then possibly visiting family in Joffre? (Since there isn%26#39;t much else there)

If you are only visiting Kennywood for one day, and want to stay in a hotel closer to Joffre for the rest of the trip, it will be better to stay near Robinson Township/Findlay Township/North Fayette. There are many options there for a reasonable price (probably cheaper than downtown depending on what is going on while you are in town), and you%26#39;ll have only about a 15-20 minute drive to Joffre. You won%26#39;t find many options closer to Joffre, since it is in such a rural area southwest of the airport.

What amenities are important/necessary? Pool? Restaurant in the hotel? Preferred price range?

What are the dates you are traveling? If there is anything significant going on in town, that may limit choices, or cause prices to be higher in town. If not, then it may be cheapest to stay in town.

I have stayed on a few trips at the Red Roof Inn ( Pitts south) at Robinson Township and they get good revues and rates are good.

There is lots of facilities nearbye and the staff are very helpful and friendly
