Parking

Two families heading to a football game in September. We live in opposite directions. We only have 1 parking pass and would like to meet somewhere in the area, park 1 car and all go to the game together. Is there a mall, parking garage or something that we could arrange this? Some place that I don%26#39;t have to feed a meter or that someone won%26#39;t care if a car is parked there all day. Doesn%26#39;t matter if it is 20 miles away even. Do you think a hotel would work? Thanks.

Parking

I%26#39;m not sure which direction(s) you%26#39;ll be coming from, but if you come from Lancaster, you%26#39;ll probably come up on Rt. 322, I%26#39;d guess. There is a strip mall on that side of town, just after you pass by Boalsburg, where you could possibly meet and park the other car. It used to be a Hills Dept. Store, and I think it%26#39;s still called ';Hills Plaza';. It will be on your right. Look for the McDonald%26#39;s, and it%26#39;s right past that. I think you could probably park there for the day with no problem.

Another choice might be the ';old'; Lowe%26#39;s parking lot, which you can reach by taking the Toftrees exit off I-99/Rt. 220 (this is only one exit from the stadium exit). Lowe%26#39;s built a new store in a different location nearby, so the old parking lot and store are still vacant. Or, an alternative would be either the Nittany Mall, which is on the northern side of town along Rt. 26, if the other party is coming from that direction (I-80 or points North). Or, on the opposite side of town, there is a WalMart SuperCenter off North Atherton/322 where you could park.

There are three parking garages downtown but it may be a little trickier going in and out depending on traffic, plus you%26#39;ll have to pay to park all day. The newest garage is on East Beaver Avenue...just turn off Atherton/322, go two blocks and it%26#39;s on the right. If you arrive earlier in the day there should be spaces, I%26#39;d think.

If you tell me which direction you%26#39;re both coming from, I might be able to give you more help!

Parking

The previous post had plenty of good suggestions. I would avoid parking at a hotel because they are always booked on football weekends, and as a result, they will probably be more particular about ';guest'; parking only, so you are more likely to get ticketed. I don%26#39;t know that for sure, but why chance it when you can park at one of the shopping centers? For convenience, I would choose the WalMart on North Atherton Street. It is not far from Route 322, so it will be easy to get back to the highway to take you to the stadium parking.
