Info on Waterpark-Leaving To Visit Tomorrow

Hi everyone. I%26#39;m looking for tips and advice on how to visit the waterpark and the rest of Hersheypark. Should we wear our swimsuitsand something over them when we arrive? This will be a weekday visit Mon.,Tues.,or Wed. I was told to go to a Giant Food Store for best discount on tickets. Can I get a map online for the park so I know where things are? Usually we just visit a waterpark for the day. How big and how much stuff is in the waterpark area? Anything else you care to share would be very helpful. Thanks so much.

The waterpark, which just recently opened, is very crowded. Hershey limits the amount of people inside, and you may have to wait in very long lines to get into the area. For the Boardwalk, you should wear a swimsuit. However, you must wear something over it in all other areas of the park. At hersheypark.com, there is a map with ride and restaurant locations. Have fun!!

HersheyPark has some major fine-tuning to do on its new Boardwalk. The East Coast Water Works area (the largest and main part of the water park) is fenced in and they only allow 1,500 people in the area at one time (considering how many people visit HersheyPark, that isn鈥檛 many people). So, if you leave to use the restroom or enjoy another part of the water park and boardwalk, you may not be able to get back in to the East Coast Water Works area - there have been 45 minute waits to enter. Most of the time the entire water park area is shoulder to shoulder. Not my idea of a fun time - be prepared for huge, huge crowds and standing in line for a long time.

I%26#39;d recommend wearing your bathing suits with shorts %26amp; a shirt over them to save time changing when you arrive. You should head straight to the water park area if you want to snag some chairs. Be careful where you snag those chairs. If you get them inside the East Coast Water Works, leave that area %26amp; want to get back in for your stuff, you%26#39;ll have to stand in line.

We just returned from a trip to the park last week (mid-week) so it was NOT crowded at all. Yes there were lots of people enjoying the Boardwalk but we didn%26#39;t have problems enjoying the water features and keeping an eye on our three little ones. There are lockers right off the Boardwalk which lots of people used- lots of barefooted folks throughout that part of the park. We had strollers so we used those to store our towels and change of clothes.

I wish I understood this better.

Are you saying that once you get into the waterpark area, if you need to use the bathroom you will need to wait in line again.

So, if my husband stays in with my 7 and 9 year old and I need to take my 4 year old out to use the bathroom we may have to get back in line for 45 minutes to get back with them?

If that is true, I have a real issue with spending the money on this trip.
