Staying in Mt. Laurel

Staying at Crawford Place off Rte.73 for a weekend in late Sept. We want to do the historic district in Philly, should we try driving or take local transportation ? Thanks, tom

Staying in Mt. Laurel

Drive. There really IS no local transport Mt. Laurel to Philly. Park somewhere on Arch st and leave the car in the garage for the day.

Staying in Mt. Laurel

2nd Loonbeam%26#39;s information. You could also park in the garage on 2nd Street between Chestnut and Walnut (entrance of the left) Should be about $16 for the day.

Actually, the Crawford Place Hotel is located near the Mt. laurel bus terminal that goes into Philly. Personally, I always drive into Philly. It is very easy and generally fast compared to the bus. But if you want to take a bus, there is one nearby at Rt. 73 and Fellowship Road about 5 minutes from your hotel. It will take you to the bus terminal in Philly located at 10th and Arch, I believe, walking distance to the historic sites.

You could also take the Patco High Speed line from Woodcrest station to 8th and Market. The station is located off of I-295 with a dedicated exit, I think its exit 30. Rt. 73 is located at exit 36 on I-295. Again this will take more time than driving but is a good option. Moms

I park at the garage across from the Marriott hotel on Filbert Easy access, secure, and if you get a ticket and spend $10 at the Reading terminal Market, they will validate for a discount.

Thanks for the info, I am leaning toward going via Patco, it seems it%26#39;s only about 10-15 minutes from the motel and I think we can sign up for the seniors discount tickets , 10 rides for $5.75. I am not too keen in driving into a big city where things are unfamiliar. How does that look to you guys ?

Thanks again,

tom

Patco is a fine option as well. I will say be sure to secure any valuable looking items in the car at the patco lot, while it is NOT unsafe, there have been reports of break-ins (as can happen at any large remote parking site).

Thanks again, my only valuable is my wife, sooo I guess I%26#39;ll not leave her in the car.
