Sofitel - Non smoking room

I really want to book a room at the Sofitel, but one review stated that they got a smoking room and had to wait to move to a non-smoking floor. They do not ask for a smoking preference on Sofitel%26#39;s website and I%26#39;m concerned that there will not be a non-smoking room available upon check-in. Now I%26#39;m leaning toward the Westin instead, since they are a NS hotel. Does anyone have any experiences with this at the Sofitel?

The Sofitel has smoking rooms but are fairly limited in amount. Mostl likely whoever mentioned that just was the victim of bad timing. If its not a rate issue, I would call the hotel directly and they can certainly put it on your rez.

The hotel staff there is very helpful. Just call and ask for a non- smoking room to be guaranteed upon arrival. If they can%26#39;t, then I would personally go to the Westin. HTH!
