Kayaking in Pennsylvania Near NJ / NY - any experience?

I want to know if there are some decent places to kayak near NYC / NJ area. I can travel for 100-150 miles.... want to take my GF along... adventurous / romantic... anything would go... not something too hard... or too adventurous...

Do you have your own gear? If not, bucks county river country (about 25-30 miles north of Philadelphia is a nice easy kayak ride.

There%26#39;s no real rapids on the course they use. If you have your own gear, I do a 2 day kayaking trip from frenchtown NJ to washington%26#39;s crossing NJ. It%26#39;s smooth sailing for the most part, with rapids on day two right past new hope, which isn%26#39;t necessarily dangerous, and fun. The water is clean before approaching so good for hopping out of the kayak and swimming.

I%26#39;ve done white water rafting, not kayaking there, but it%26#39;s more rapids for a whitewater kayaking experience. They have packages for camping/paintball as well. A good adventure weekend.

A lot of youngish kids do both, you%26#39;re not looking at any crazy intense rapids.
