Need help planning anniversary in November in Harrisburg PA.

Hello everyone. I am planning a surprise trip for my hubby and I for our 1 Year Wedding Anniversary. It%26#39;s in November, and I%26#39;m kind of at a loss on things to do. I%26#39;m afraid its going to be too cold out for anything outdoors. I plan on getting a hotel in Harrisburg, getting us a massage, dinner, and a night on the town. Any other ideas on making our night memorable? I am not too terribly familiar with Harrisburg. I%26#39;ve been there a couple times, but its been at least 5 years since my last visit. I%26#39;ve looked up a few things, and came across a horse and buggy ride tour thru City Island and downtown. Is it worth it?! Please help!!!

I%26#39;ve never personally taken the horse %26amp; carriage ride on City Island but it looks like it would be great.

If you enjoy dinner theater the Allenberry Resort %26amp; Playhouse (www.allenberry.com) is about 20 minutes from Harrisburg. In November they would be showcasing their Christmas show.

If you like the bar scene, there are a lot of restaurants/bars on Second Street (also known as restaurant row) in Harrisburg.

Hi, I live in this area. Instead of staying right in Harrisburg, I would recommend the Hershey Hotel which has a great spa. The Hershey Lodge is also very nice. It is about a 20 minute ride or so from downtown Harrisburg. You could also take a ride to Lancaster as there are many good restaurants and some nice shopping villages. Of course, there really isn%26#39;t as night life to speak of there. They also have carriage rides in PA Dutch country.

Enjoy!
