Staying @ Loews Philladephia, what's nearby?

Two days exploration time. Where to eat? What to see? What is the area called?

Staying @ Loews Philladephia, what's nearby?

Within walking distance of the Loews on Market Street is:

The historic district

Old City

the Reading Terminal Market

Chinatown

Walnut Street Shopping

As for places to eat, there are about 200-300 places within a decent walk, do you have a particular type of food or budget in mind?

Keen on signature Philadelphia (when in Rome...) as well as great seafood.

Well then definately hit the Reading terminal market - Cross market and go along the side of the Marriott, you%26#39;ll see it. Assuming Rick%26#39;s hasn%26#39;t lost his battle with market mgmt, you can get a cheesesteak there. Also check out the rest of the place.

Seafood? I%26#39;ll put this one out to my fellow forumites - Striped Bass?

For Seafood, my three choices would be Roy%26#39;s, Devon or Morimoto.

Execllent. What about nearby shopping? Malls and maybe a boutique row?

All of the standard mall type clothing stores are located a couple of blocks away from your hotel on Walnut. If you are looking for high end designer merchandise, I would check out Boyd%26#39;s on Chestnut.

For great seafood I recommend XIX (Nineteen) on the 19th floor of the Hyatt Park Bellevue on Broad Street. Great, innovative food in a very hip environment.
