After searching for hours I am posting in the hopes someone else might have caught the same tv program I did. I am wondering now if I even have the state right as no inn or b%26amp;b is fitting my recollection, but... Does anyone know of a country type inn maybe in the mountains that is popular/famous for serving Thanksgiving dinner? What I remember is a woman commenting on a large deck hillside with stairs as they exited a large dining room saying she has been coming for years and the food and atmosphere were wonderful. Anyone familiar with such a place or also catch that (I thought local tourist chronicle type) show?
If not I%26#39;d appreciate recommendations for a place my husband and I could go to for a few days to enjoy hiking/biking outdoors and traditional dinner with some meat options in a big historic mountain setting. Am I asking for too much?
Thanks in advance.

I didn%26#39;t see the TV program you mentioned, but I wonder if the inn you refer to is the Summit Inn in Farmington, PA. I think it was used as one of the locations for the movie ';The Cemetery Club'; with Shirley McClain and Olympia Dukakis.
I have never stayed there, so I can%26#39;t give you a firsthand review, but you can find reviews here on TripAdvisor by entering ';Historic Summit Inn'; in the search box. The Summit Inn%26#39;s website is http://www.summitinnresort.com/
The Summit Inn is located in Fayette County, near Ohiopyle State Park, where you can hike or use the bike trail. The bike trail is part of the Great Allegheny Passage, which you can read about at http://www.atatrail.org/
There are also 2 Frank Lloyd Wright homes nearby, Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob. My 17 year old daughter has toured both, and says she prefers Kentuck Knob. The Summit Inn%26#39;s website has links to both houses, and also to other area attractions.
Thanksgiving Dinner
My husband and I stayed overnight at the Summit Inn a year ago. There are some great views from the hotel and it is near Ohiopyle, our absolutely favorite get-away from Pittsburgh. The only caution: There are lots of wedding receptions held there and our room was directly overtop of one. It was very noisy, but I must say, the hotel gave us a nice discount the next morning when we complained at check-out. Just make sure your room is nowhere near that part of the building.
The Settlers Inn fits your bill, www.thesettlersinn.com
Unfortunately they are booked. I am looking for the same, please let me know if you find an alternative.
