HI I am planning a trip to Dutch Wonderland with my 7 and 4 year olds. I am looking to stay in ahotel on the outskirts of Lancaster. We are willing to drive an hour to get there. We are coming in from the Williamsport area. Willing to stay in York or anywhere else. I am looking for some good, clean hotels. Thanks

If you%26#39;re coming down from Williamsport, York is not on the way.
Harrisburg would be about an hour away, Elizabethtown about a half hour. Maybe stay in Hershey (about 45 minutes) %26amp; explore there.

I would suggest the Hampton Inn in Ephrata. The hotel has a great indoor pool that is open until 10. It sits on top of the hill and overlooks the town of Ephrata. It is very close to 222 which is a major route. From the hotel you could be in Lancaster in 15/20 minutes. Dutch Wonderland is easy to get to from here. Ephrata is a neat town. You could walk down to the movies, (I guess you would have to see what is in??)Or, to get ice cream at the ice cream place. ( 5 minute walk from the Hampton)If you are here on a Friday the green dragon is open, You may find that interesting On Sundays the Antique places are open. I don%26#39;t think you would be sorry that you planned to stay here.
The Holiday Express Hotel in Lititz on Rt 105 is very nice, and nearly brand new. I paid 99.00(+tax) a night, indoor pool, Jacuzzi, coffee maker, free breakfast buffet, very clean and a good value for the money.
FYI - the route number is 501 not 105, just wanted to clarify in case you were trying to look it up.
Why don%26#39;t you want to stay in Lancaster, close to DW? Just out of curiousity... Staying on the outskirts of Lancaster won%26#39;t save any money...especially when you factor in the gas for driving to and from.
That is a good point, we have decided in Lancaster. Are there any nice hotels under $80.00? We would like something with a continental breakfast.
We are looking into the red roof inn. I found a price of 80.99 a night. Any thoughts?
Look into the Hawthorn inn. very clean and modern, and usually cheap. Not always, but usually.
I don%26#39;t know the rates but Willow Valley is very nice for children.
York is much too far.
Coming from Hershey on Rt. 283 can hold you up sometimes with traffic so I would not suggest that. unless you are doing Hershey. You have a large selection of places to stay right in Lancaster and after a day at Dutch Wonderland, you will be glad to be nearby!
Fulton Steamboat in Strasburg is a decent motel and great price. We got a bunk bed room (the kids loved it) for under $90 per night. It is about 1-2 miles from Dutch Wonderland, a very easy drive. If you like the whole Victorian steamboat type of thing the kids would love this place. They have a nice indoor pool also. I have been to more expensive places and have to say I will probably come back to FS because of the reasonable price.
