My girlfriend is getting married in Oct. 2007 but is not having a reception. That will leave 10 of her friends on their own to find a place to eat. Please bear in mind we will be dressed up at the wedding will be over by 2:30pm. The problem is the ages of the guest range from 19-60, and everyone has a hang up. Some can%26#39;t eat spicy, some don%26#39;t eat pork or steak, some don%26#39;t like fancy food they can%26#39;t pronounce. What we all agree on is that we want to be together in a nice atmosphere since we will be dressed up for a late lunch in October 2007 around 3pm. Any recommendations?

Where is the ceremony? Do you want to be in walking distance to the ceremony? Do you want to stay within a certain price range?
Two places that immediately come to mind are Fork %26amp; Twenty Manning. Both have menus that can accomodiate the food requirements listed above ~ they might or might not work depending on the questions that I have for you.

One other question ~ What day of the week? Sat. I presume?
Once we have more specifics might be able to narrow it down..
If the budget is not an issue, see if the Fountain at the four seasons has the Logan Room available, a private room that seats up to 14...

How about someplace in Adams-Morgan :)
I was going to suggest Fork, but Heather beat me to it. The attire there runs from casual to dressy, so you%26#39;d be okay, and the menu is varied enough, and the atmosphere would probably suit everyone. Price-wise, it%26#39;s not cheap, but not expensive, either. Pretty good food, and reasonable. Negatives: Not terribly comfortable (tight) and can be a bit noisy.
Something else that comes to mind is your time - many restaurants are not open at 3 pm (too late for lunch, too early for dinner.) That being said, I would check out Fork, but also consider the Moshulu and Devon Seafood Grill. I%26#39;d look at menus online to see if the offerings are acceptable to your party. Good luck!
