Best mall at Pittsburgh area?
Carlos-
Century III mall, is my suggestion, it%26#39;s big. You can get there by bus. I%26#39;m sure others will chime in on their favorite mall as well.
Best mall at Pittsburgh area?
You could go to South Hills Village and avoid the bus altogether via a scenic ride on our subway system (also called the trolley or the T)that is quite clean (unlike many big cities). It is a great mall with nice selections in the food court. My favorite mall is The Mall at Robinson (I think it%26#39;s the newest in Pittsburgh), which is closer to the airport and should have bus service. Just go to the website for our transit system to get a better idea on that. It%26#39;s called Port Authority Transit or PAT. Also, another new mall is Pittsburgh Mills, and I%26#39;ve seen buses there too. It has different stores than your traditional mall, such as H%26amp;M (trendy clothing for kids and adults), etc. And finally there%26#39;s the SouthSide Works, I believe it%26#39;s called, which would be the closest to downtown and has more upscale stores, not as many as a mall would have, though. That%26#39;s where Cheesecake Factory is located, if that is of interest to your palate. Good luck choosing a place.
The bus system website is very complete and usefull, so i will not have problems to reach any of your suggestions by bus.
Let see if can i get another advice...
Ross Park hands down. If you take into account all the surrounding stores, then I would go with The Mall at Robinson. Monroeville third. Nothing else even close. Welcome to Pittsburgh, have fun!
The Mall at Robinson is really nice .... and quite large. And it has an IKEA nearby! South HIlls Village is also very nice. I wouldn%26#39;t waste my time going to Century III .... it is getting pretty old and depressing.
If you%26#39;re looking for a DSW, there is one in Robinson, just not in the mall. It is near the Ikea.
I would not recommend the Pittsburgh Mills. This is one of the newest Malls in the Pittsburgh area but really needs to get it%26#39;s act together. It%26#39;s a really nice mall if you%26#39;re just looking for a place to walk indoors and get excercise (I believe it%26#39;s a one mile oval). But if you%26#39;re coming for some major shopping, probably every third store is empty. Ross Park Mall is a very nice mall. We also enjoy shopping in the Robinson Town area and the Water Front.
