Does Tourist Season Drop Off AFter Labor Day?

Does Tourist Season Drop Off AFter Labor Day? Is it less crowded , easier to get around? Thanks

Does Tourist Season Drop Off AFter Labor Day?

Weekdays, yes. Weekends, if there%26#39;s another event like the Apple Harvest, Remembrance Day, etc., the crowds come back.

Does Tourist Season Drop Off AFter Labor Day?

Fall weekends in Gettysburg and the surrounding orchard countryside are beautiful!! We have gone by accident on a weekend with an ';event';--last year it was the sidewalk antiques show in town--oops. It was very busy right in town but our visit to The Round Barn and Boyers Nurseries for apples was pleasant and uncrowded....so i guess it depends on where you go whether you will run into an %26#39;event%26#39; crowd.

It also pays to check ahead as fall hours are usually more limited than summertime, and after dealing with crowds all summer, who can blame them?

I have not yet been to Gettysburg for Remembrance Weekend (at the time of the Lincoln%26#39;s address in November but have heard it is a moving experience.

Fall and spring are our favorite times. A clear cold winter day with a touch of snow on the battlefields can%26#39;t be beat either.

Hope you get to visit!

I%26#39;d agree with Imalocal...weekends are just as busy until late November but weekdays are much slower. Still lots to do even with smaller crowds, which is the best of both worlds in my eyes.
