O Wise Ones,
You all helped us so much last year when we visited for the Army Navy Game. We%26#39;re returning this year in part to take our high school senior to visit Swarthmore and Haverford. We%26#39;re driving up from the Baltimore Airport and will stay a couple of nights (Sept 10-12) before venturing once more to Annapolis to see our now senior Midshipman. We%26#39;ve been looking for hotels near the colleges as we will have a car this time and thought that it would be cheaper in the suburbs.
BUT, for some reason there is no availability anywhere near them that gets even OK reviews - we%26#39;d rather not stay at the airport. Who knew?
So, we%26#39;re thinking we%26#39;ll brave the traffic and stay in Philadelphia because we had such a terrific time last visit. Any suggestions for hotwire or priceline. Since there are 3 of us(our son is 17) do we need 2 rooms if we go priceline so should we simply use hotwire or?
Sorry to babble on and THANK YOU in advance.
Go Navy!
Hotwire or Priceline help
The airport is actually not a bad location for this visit. If you are not traveling during rush hour, you can get to Swarthmore in about 15-20 minutes and Haverford in about 25 minutes. Both are a short ride south on I-95 to Route 476 North, and then just a couple of exits. You are also about 15 minutes from town. The best hotel at the airport is the one attached directly to terminal B, The Marriott. Don%26#39;t know how they work parking fees, but the garage is right there.
Splurge for two rooms. If you%26#39;ll be paying for Swarthmore or Haverford, you better be able to afford two rooms :)

Hey Owlyn,
Thanks for your reply! With the ';pleasure'; of flying nowadays just the thought of staying anywhere near an airport gives us pause. We%26#39;ll have just spent the day traveling from the Left Coast. NeverthelessI will check them out.
And, yes, his dad and I are already working 2 jobs each to try and get a grip on what this may cost - yikes! Thankfully, his brother pays for his own education with his service commitment and his brother will probably apply there also. How did college come to cost so much?
