I will be in Pittsburgh Sat %26amp; Sun, labor day weekend. Is there activity in downtown area on the weekend or should I stay in a hotel in a specific neighborhood that has good weekend activities.

Well, I do believe it is the last weekend of the season for Kennywood Park, so if you are into amusement parks I would definately hit that place.
Chihuly at Phipps Conservatory will still be going on - ticket reservations required.
Rich Vos will be playing at the Improv at the Waterfront if you like comedy.
In Westmoreland County at the fairgrounds, the PA Arts and Crafts Festival is going on. I%26#39;m not sure if you%26#39;ll have a car available to you or if you need to stay downtown or on bus lines.
Carnegie Museum of Natural History is profiling Carnaval.
The Gateway Clipper will have one hour sightseeing cruises - ou should also check them out for their dinner/dancing cruises in the evening.
Are you into barhopping or clubbing? If so, hit Station Square area for clubs, South Side for a variety of bar atmospheres and people watching.
