waterparks in Lancaster?

Can anyone tell me some info on waterparks in Lancaster and if they are worth going to? Childrens ages are 10 and 6 , but they don%26#39;t like anything too wild. We are already going to Dutch Wonderland and are looking for a waterpark for another day.

Nothing else that I know of only DW. I read awhile ago there was one close to Lancaster but it was pretty much of a dump. I think though Hershey does have one although you will have a bit of a drive.;

There used to be one, Eagle Falls, right up the street from DW but it closed a year or two ago. I%26#39;m pretty sure there aren%26#39;t any in Lancaster now. Hershey does have a very small waterpark now, but I%26#39;ve heard that it%26#39;s overcrowded and a little boring. Plus it%26#39;s inside the actual park, so you%26#39;d have to pay full admission just for use of one small area. But I think you can get some sort of discount to HP if you%26#39;re going to DW, since they%26#39;re owned by the same company now.

Your best bet is to go to Dorney Park. It%26#39;s about 1 1/2 hours away tho. They have a large waterpark (big enough to spend an entire day) and seperate admission for the waterpark. It is a fairly long drive tho, with two kids in the car.

Good luck and have fun!!

I agree with Dorney if you%26#39;re set on doing a waterpark. I really don%26#39;t think there%26#39;s a decent waterpark closer to Lancaster, unfortunately.

I think there is a SMALL waterpark right beside DW (to the west)...maybe just a few waterslides...can anybody verify if it%26#39;s still open?

I think that was Eagle Falls, daddio. It was up on a hill, a little far from the highway (but you could still see it). Just heard something recently that the lot%26#39;s going to become yet another hotel. A Candlewood Suites maybe?

I would also look into Knoebels they have a small water park and a nice pool. Free admission and free parking, it is worth a look! It is in Elysburg. www.knoebels.com

My family is off tomorrow there.

Thank you for your replies. I don%26#39;t think we are willing to drive far out of the area. We are near Erie, Pa so we will probably just go to Waldameer or Cedar Point in OH some other weekend. We%26#39;ll just swim in our hotel pool in Lancaster.

Good decision. Water park at cedar point is really nice!

Another option is at the Mount Gretna Lake, it is only about 20-30 minutes from Lancaster. Depending on where you are staying.

This is a new indoor waterpark at the Howard Johnson%26#39;s right up the road from Dutch Wonderland. I have never been there but it may be worth looking into.
