Waterworks restaurant

does anyone know if the new restaurant over by the PMA is open yet, and what the name is? It%26#39;s over in the Waterworks, and there was an article in the paper a while back about it being under construction.

Also, is the name of the restaurant off of Lincoln Drive %26#39;Valley View%26#39;? I haven%26#39;t been there in a few years and wonder if it%26#39;s still good. This is the place in the park along the creek, in case I have the name wrong.

Thanks

Waterworks restaurant

I don%26#39;t know the the new restaurant, but I used to live in chesnut Hill and it sound like Valley Green you%26#39;re referring to.

Waterworks restaurant

I use to live in Chestnut Hill as well - the place you are referring to - in the park, along the creek, is definitely the Valley Green Inn. I was there about a year ago for lunch and it was still good.

I am unsure also about the first place that you are referring to over in the Waterworks...maybe another poster can assist.

Thanks for the info. I couldn%26#39;t remember the name of the restaurant in the park. The new place I mentioned is supposedly a Greek/Med type place that will be high end. I read that it%26#39;s in the works a while back, but nothing since then. It%26#39;s over by the boathouses.

Thanks again

Check this link out, doesn%26#39;t give a lot of info, but I found it on the net:

Says it is opening Spring %26#39;06 (which is now, although you couldn%26#39;t tell it was spring in Philly by the snow this morning!) Hope that helps a little!

Wateworks restaurant is opened 215 236 9000; don%26#39;;t know how good it is though.

Waterworks restaurant has gotten mixed reviews, mostly not so good, and is expensive.

The location is amazing. The inside is beautiful. However the service is very poor and the quality of the food is sub par. My experience was horrible and I will never return to this restaurant nor will I ever recommend it.

I called to make reservations about 2-3 weeks in advance for a brunch to celebrate a family event for 8 people. I requested to be seated outside and was told that would not be a problem. The day of our reservation, we were seated inside. I asked about outdoor seating and was told that it was taken due to graduation events and if I wanted to be seated outside, I would have been asked to make a deposit. I was never given this option and really, who would think to ask this. Very disappointing, especially considering I would have made the deposit with no problem. I was treated in an extremely condescending manner the entire time I was there. The worst part -- not one table filled the entire time we ate our brunch and when we left the tables were still completely empty. Also, the food was cold and there was no interaction between the server and our table. In fact, one basic request (add onions) was met with a ';I%26#39;m not sure we can do that, since it differs from what is on the menu.';

Spend your money elsewhere.

Thanks for the review. I%26#39;ve always wanted to go there because it%26#39;s such an amazing building with a great view, but have yet to hear very positive remarks. Most give it sub-par or mediocre ratings.

I was also looking forward to trying Waterworks! I am so sorry to hear about your horrible experience.
