Cabin in the woods

I%26#39;m planning on visiting the Pocono area for the first time in October. I was hoping to rent a small cabin with a mountain view. Any suggestions?? Everyone I look up online has at least 3 or 4 bedrooms and require more than 6 people. I would like a cozy cabin in the woods. If not, what%26#39;s your best suggestions for a reasonably priced motel?

I think any cabin that is that small would probably not have full electric/water. Rent for houses up the mountains are so relatively cheap that having a large house, while unnecessary, is still economically feasible. Of course you%26#39;re looking for your picturesque cottage so stick with searching for what you want!

Try to stay away from the resort areas. Instead of the Lehigh area, look more towards central/western pa. Maybe look for large city names, try and find rentals nearby there?

Have you tried looking on the PA state parks website? Several parks have modern cabins that are open into the fall or all year. (www.dcnr.state.pa.us) Lackawanna and Ricketts Glen seem to have what you%26#39;re looking for.

Good luck! I%26#39;ve had trouble finding nice little cabins as well.
