WE are looking for a resort to have a family reunion. Half live in cleveland and the other half live in New Jersey,.
Midway on Route 80 or Midway on the PA-TPK would work great.
Any suggestions. WE usually go in the summer and the kids enjoy a pool or lake. Ages 1-70
Thanks

Hershey has a couple of full service resorts (Hershey Hotel and Hershey Convention Center). Seven Springs Resort in the Laurel Highlands is older but worth a look into.

If not a Penn State home weekend, Toftrees Resort in State College has amenities.
Another good option, if you are willing to go for something with fewer amenities, but nicer surroundings (in my opinion), is a state park. There are a number of them with very nice cabins that are perfect for a family reunion. Depending on when you go, you may have to rent far in advance, because the cabins fill up fast.

Go to the different regions and click on the name of a park. You%26#39;ll be able to see which parks have cabins and lakes.
One park that I would particularly recommend is Black Moshannon State Park. They have 6 modern cabins there and the lake is very nice for fishing, boating and swimming. Also there are plenty of trails for hiking. It is located just south of Interstate 80 in the center of PA (2-1/2 hours from the Ohio line, just under 3 hours from the NJ line). It is also only about 30 minutes from Penn State University, so if you want to do a family dinner at a restaurant, or do a movie night, or other activities that would require a bigger town, you aren%26#39;t very far from that, either. Plenty of shopping there too, if you like that kind of thing. Also, there are some wineries that you could visit within about an hours drive. The Woolrich Outlet is about an hour east in... you guessed it... Woolrich, PA.

seven springs resort is an option (near donegal, pa off pa tpk) - indoor pool, large game room, (used to have alpine slide - not sure if it is still there)
have been there for college class reunions - took family last time and my parents credit union board meets there regularly.
also, you may wish to look at nemacolin woodlands - same area - looked at it once - too much $$ for me, but might fit your needs just fine. close proximity to fallingwater (frank lloyd wright home) and ohiopyle state park (white water rafting).
good luck in picking a place - we put my mother in charge of finding the beach house next year - can be touchy!!
