I have read so many bad reviews, but my husband and I made reservations there in sept for dinner while we stay at the hershey hotel
Has anyone had a good experience / the circular dining room
Yes, my sister and I were there for her birthday last October. The food was delicious; the waitress was attentive, but not overbearing and a delay in bringing my sister a glass a wine resulted in the wine not being charged to the bill.
I%26#39;m sure you and your husband will have a lovely time.

IMHO when a restaurant charges exorbitant prices for their food two things better happen. The food better be fantastic and the service impeccable. Neither was the case at our last visit. For years the Hershey Hotel has been equated with excellence, unfortunately, I believe the Circular Dining room chef and his staff have coasted on that ';rumor'; for too long. People shelling out $145+ for dinner for two want to experience the excellence not just read about it in old reviews.
Please note that I am not saying that our experience was terrible, the peanut butter pie for instance was super. But overall it wasn%26#39;t fantastic. And for what we paid it should have been over the top. Unless I hear that a new chef has named we won%26#39;t returning.
The desserts are wonderful! However be advised the buffet they offer is somewhat limited. My husband nd I had a reservation for a Saturday afternoon and left- their offerings were salmon and lamb. We don%26#39;t like either. I have heard the Sunday brunch is wonderful but pricy. I ate at the cafe several times which was okay. The hotel itself is beautfiul and the spa is wonderful. My honest advise is to check out what they are serving that day before you commit yourself to eating there.
