The Village of Dutch Delights and The Outhouse

Can someone give me info on what execatly this all is?

Can you give me an idea of the hours?

Thanks

The Village of Dutch Delights and The Outhouse

A collection of stores which features tourist knicknacks, both pine and oak furniture accessories, gifts, quilts, music, and toys. The Outhouse is worth a few laughs--whoopie cushions, and gag gifts. I wouldn%26#39;t drive far to see these, but it may especially be fun for families to browse while waiting for a table at Dienner%26#39;s, which is next door.

The Village of Dutch Delights and The Outhouse

It is worth going to IF you are nearby - I wouldnt go to far out of my way to see it. I have been 5 (?) times though - so I do enjoy it. Nice shops - the one in front of the restaurant is really nice. Souveneery - woodcrafts-tshifts - but fairly nice other things too. THE OUTHOUSE - I have been to too many times!! But my sister and her husband LOVE the place, so they go every time we are in the area. Practical jokes, silly sayings, april fools kind of things - but it is actually more interesting than that might sound!!

The village of dutch delights is closed down, if it%26#39;s the one I%26#39;m thinking of. I believe it was the large pink building. If I%26#39;m wrong, please correct this info. the outhouse, is a silly store with silly gag gifts. It is next door to Dienners, a wonderful place to eat.

Ignore me, I%26#39;m correcting myself, it%26#39;s not the place I was thinking of. I was thinking of a pink building that had many, many collectables, that closed a while ago. Sorry.

The village of dutch delights is definitely open and in addition to a lot of cool gifts and Amish woodworking, they also have the best homemade rootbeer around.

We missed the Outhouse (sorry to say) because we were too late.

Their hours are:

Mon - Thurs 9-6

Fri %26amp; Sat 9-7

Sun Closed

But they do have an interesting sign outside that says:

In this store you may....

Get Wet

Get Scared

Pee your pants

Be shot with a blast of air

Be pecked by a chicken

Be startled

Eat lots (and lots) of fudge

Laugh till your sides hurt

See what it%26#39;s like to be an old man

Be emotionally traumatized

Experience Arachnaphobia

Get Electrocuted

Stay for hours and hours.

That also if not far down the road from Miller%26#39;s which is a big buffet. Many bus trips go there also to eat. Out of the buffets in the area, it does have the most selection. Their turkey and ham are wonderful!

The Outhouse does have a lot of novelty things and the other stores sell your typical Amish souvenirs.

Kitchen Kettle Village in Intercourse also sells all of the same but in a country atmosphere.

Enjoy!
