what else is nearby?

We will be going up to Knoebels for a short weekend this summer. We want to leave Saturday and come back sunday. We figure we will spend all day sunday at the park since we wont get on the road until about 1pm on Saturday(have to work!) What is nearby that we could do on Saturday? Any where good to eat etc? Thanks in advance for any help.

Check out the post titled ';after lancaster give knoebels a try great park for...'; it has a few sugestions for you.(right now it%26#39;s on pg.2)

As the previous poster said, see my June 4th 7:50 am posting for some more ideas. The park is open till 10PM on Saturday night. That%26#39;ll give you plenty of time to get on some rides. The park is lit up beautifully at night. I suggest you get on the giant ferris wheel and take in the views! There are numerous food stands and restaurants at Knoebels, so why not eat there. We usually cook our meals in a three bedroom rented cottage behind the park, so I can%26#39;t suggest any restaurants. The nearest big town is Bloomsburg. It%26#39;s a college town, so there might be something happening there on Saturday night. What date will you be arriving, what roads are you taking and where will you be staying? I might be able to make a few more suggestions. We%26#39;ve been traveling to Knoebels three times a year for over twenty-three years.

ENJOY, Steve

In nearby Ashland, PA is the Pioneer Tunnel Coal Mine %26amp; Steam Engine. Here is their website: http://www.pioneertunnel.com/home.shtml

We did the Pioneer Coal Mine last summer while in the area an enjoyed it very much and highly recommend it.

There is a miniature golf course at Knoebels you could enjoy on Saturday.

We go to Knoebels every year on Labor Day weekend. We always have fun even when we just walk around the park. There are shops and food in the park. Knoebels has a lot of little shops with cute things. They also have a christmas shop. They have a great baked potatoe stand. I know it sounds weird but they are the best.
